It is mainly used for active lime and calcined dolomite used in refractory plants (i.e. active lime kilns), ferroalloy plants and iron and steel plants. In the process of running the rotary kiln, the parts will be worn over time, which will reduce the reliability of the equipment during operation, and even affect the output of the rotary kiln. Therefore, it is necessary to take the opportunity of maintenance to recover the wear.
According to the work quantity of maintenance, it can be divided into major repair, medium repair and minor repair. Each user plant needs to plan major, medium and minor repairs according to the use and maintenance of the rotary kiln. It should be placed in medium and minor repair. The maintenance can be carried out when the kiln is stopped and the kiln lining is replaced. Only when the drive device is repaired can it be carried out after the work is completed. But it should be completed quickly in a short period of time (such as 8-12 hours).
As for the overhaul, it will take a longer time. At this time, it is necessary to check and adjust the whole equipment and all worn parts of the kiln. However, it should be noted that before the planned shutdown of the kiln, in order to reduce the overhaul time. All parts and tools to be replaced shall be prepared.
Although the shutdown of the kiln should be minimized in production, it is inevitable to stop the kiln for inspection and repair in a short or long term when necessary. For both short-term and long-term maintenance, contact with all relevant production posts before stopping the kiln.
